During my stay in the North of Portugal, I came across this beautiful chapel built on the beach. The Capela do Senhor da Pedra is a magical place.

A chapel built on a few large rocks, so close to the sea. At sunset you can almost feel the divine presence there.

I took several photos there during a marvelous sunset. The chapel is popular among tourists, but luckily they only visit in large numbers during the day. I tried different angles. The beach itself here is also very interesting, with its beautifully shaped rocks lying everywhere.

The chapel is well worth a visit if you’re in the vicinity of Porto, especially if you realize it’s just a 15 minute drive away.
