In Slovenia’s Triglav National Park there are so many enchanting places. When we were in The Julian Alps, we did not only find churces, waterfalls or gorges but also several other landscapes that we couldn’t resist to photograph.
The source of the Save river for example, is such a postcard place that you just can’t believe it to be true. The water there is super clear while you can see vulcanic activity going on in the pond.
When you have Lake Bled, it is tempting to stay there and not venture further. But less than an hour’s drive from Lake Bled, you will find Lake Bohinj. While there is no church on an island in the middle, this is also a beautiful clear lake within the mountains.
And let’s not forget the countryside. Everywhere the grass looks like it was cut with the greatest precision. Even though you are in the middle of nowhere. There are forests everywhere. We even went to see brown bears that are living there, but unfortunately they did not show up.
