Industrial Bloodmoon
A red ‘blood moon’ could be viewed last night. I photographed it at the Boels site near my house in Zoetermeer, to create an industrial atmosphere.

For an upcoming InstaWalk event in my home town Zoetermeer, I want to take some photos on locations that we will probably visit. On of these locations is the Dobbe, right in the center of the city, near the market square and city hall.
The “Nelson Mandelabrug” or Mandela Bridge is one of Zoetermeer’s most iconic landmarks. It spans the A12 motorway and features a railway station in the middle. There is a cycling path in the bridge.
On a cold winter day I took some pictures in Oosterheem, Zoetermeer. The water was party frozen and there was a nice sunset.
The water tower in Zoetermeer is a structure built in 1927. It is one of the few buildings from a time when Zoetermeer was only a small town.
Doing some Urban Exploration (urbex) was on my bucket list for some time. So it was a golden opportunity when an office building just a block away from my house was being demolished.
The Noord-AA lake near my home town Zoetermeer (Sweet Lake City) is one of my favorite spots. A very simple composition, but combined with a long exposure effect I managed to achieve a soothing image.
The Noord-AA, or Zoetermeer lake, is the primary recreation area of the city. It is a man-made lake with depths of up to 30 meters. It is also a very nice place to be at sunset and easy to reach.
The Meerpolder near Zoetermeer is a unique agricultural area in the Netherlands, because it has a round shape. The big Snow World building is also next to it.
The second time I visited the Noord-AA lake north of my home town Zoetermeer. I went back to the same spot as last time.
