During my stay in the North of Portugal, I came across this beautiful chapel built on the beach. The Capela do Senhor da Pedra is a magical place.
A chapel built on a few large rocks, so close to the sea. At sunset you can almost feel the divine presence there.

When I was in Sardinia earlier this year, I found that the beautiful coastline was even more interesting because of the so called ‘Spanish Towers’. I photographed one of these towers in the south.
My second excursion to the dunes of Meijendel. Early december it is cold and the trees have lost their leaves. Sunset starts early and can be very beautiful. It gives the area a whole new look.

During Christmas we visited the beach at Katwijk aan Zee. Although there were strong winds, I managed to make some very nice photos at sunset.
